Although admission is completely free, they do accept and appreciate all donations which they are given. The gallery also has some famous paintings by very well known New Zealand artists. It is a spacious building and easy to navigate and get around. There is a wonderful little gift shop where you can buy all sorts of souvenirs. There is also a cute little cafe should you want to stop off for some coffee and a bite to eat. One of the great aspects about the Dunedin Public Art Gallery is that there is free WiFi for use in the gallery foyers and plenty of facilities for people who are disabled.
